Information for candidates who have taken a Cambridge English exam
If there is a mistake on your certificate, we may be able to provide an amended certificate to you within two years of the date of the examination.
Please contact us if you believe there is any error on your certificate affecting:
- the spelling of your name
- your result
- the date of your examination
- the place of entry
- the reference number
- the accreditation number.
Please contact the authorised exam centre where you took your exam, as they can arrange for an amended certificate to be printed. Your centre will be able to advise you of any charges that may apply.
You will need to return the incorrect certificate to your exam centre before an amended certificate can be produced.
Amended certificates can only be produced within two years of the date of the examination.
The name on your certificate must reflect your name at the time you sat the exam unless your name has changed as a result of gender change, adoption or you are under witness protection. If you have changed your name by deed poll or for reasons of marriage or divorce, the name on your certificate cannot be amended.
If you have undergone a legal change of gender, have been adopted or are under witness protection, please contact your exam centre as they can advise on what is required to get an updated certificate or certifying statement in your new name. If your centre has closed or it is not possible to get in touch with them please contact us.
