Helpdesk Training Article
This article contains step-by-step instructions for making entries for the Cambridge English Placement Test.
How can I add entries?
Once you have created your session you can add entries into the session in four different ways.
Each method for adding entries is shown in detail in the articles below:
Entry Codes
Entry codes are generated for each candidate when you make an entry using any of these four methods. Entry codes allow candidates access to a specific test, and once they've accessed it, their login is created if necessary.
Choose this if:
- You want to quickly create a batch of generic entry codes that allow candidates access to the test
- You want candidates to input their own details
Don't choose this if:
- You want to input the candidate details yourself
For full details, please view this article here.
Bulk Entry Import
The Bulk Entry Import feature allows you to import a CSV file of candidate details into a session.
Choose this if:
- You have a high number of candidates to enter and want to input their details into the system yourself
Don't choose this if:
- You want candidates to input their own details
For full details, please view this article here.
Single Candidate Entry
Single Candidate Entry allows you to enter a candidates details directly into the system, one candidate at a time.
Choose this if:
- You have a small number of candidates
- You want to input their details yourself
- You don't have the details in a CSV already
Don't choose this if:
- You have a high number of candidates
- You want candidates to input their own details
For full details, please view this article here.
Search Existing Candidates
If candidates already have an account and exist in another session, you can add them directly into a session.
Choose this if:
- Candidates are already in the system
- You want to make sure their accounts are linked
Don't choose this if:
- These are new candidates
