Test Day Photos are an important part of our security measures and they are an essential requirement for our recognising organisations.
C1 Advanced is a high-quality, established, secure and reliable test aimed specifically at people who want to study, live and work in a demanding English speaking environment. More than 9,000 educational institutions, businesses and government departments around the world accept C1 Advanced as proof of high-level achievement in learning English.
The Australian Department of Home Affairs accepts C1 Advanced scores for student visa applications and many other visa programmes. For your C1 Advanced score to be accepted for this purpose, your centre must take a photo of you on the test day.
Photos have to be taken with a special software on the day of the exam by centre staff. Photos taken outside of this system are not acceptable. Your photo and ID details will be linked to your exam result on the Results Verification Service. Taking the photo does not take long and it will only be seen on the Results Verification Service and not on your Statement of Results or your certificate. These steps are very important if you want to use your result for immigration or higher education purposes in the future.
You can share your results with an organisation via the Candidate Results Online portal. The organisation will then be able to verify your results and see your test day photo. You can find full instructions on how to share your results in this article.
If you are taking C1 Advanced in Asia, Australasia or Africa your centre must upload a test day photo or you will not receive a result.
Exam centres are aware of the regulations regarding test day photos. If you take an exam for which test day photos are required but have not been asked to have a photo taken, please raise this immediately with centre staff on the day of your exam.
