This article is to help you administer Cambridge English speaking tests and provides guidance on how to recruit and manage your speaking examiners.
Non UK centres
All centres outside the UK are responsible for recruiting Speaking Examiners and Team Leaders and for complying with our quality assurance procedures. These procedures are designed to ensure that SEs run the tests properly and assess correctly.
Please note that certain exams, such as the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) and Delta Module One, do not have a Speaking test.

We are making an important change to the way that Speaking Examiners are managed in the UK, bringing UK Speaking Examiner management processes into line with those in the rest of the world from 1 January 2023. Please see the article here for further information.
Centres based in the UK do not need to recruit or train Speaking Examiners (SEs). In the UK, we organise this and provide SEs to the centres. The entry fees for the UK are adjusted accordingly to reflect this.
