Helpdesk Training Article
This article describes how you can access the Results Dashboard, which reports are available and how to set filtering options for the data.
The Results Dashboard allows you to easily and quickly view how well your groups of candidates have performed. It has flexible filtering options so particular groups of results can be focused on and compared with other groupings.
The Results Dashboard is designed to help you understand the level of your groups of candidates, and how this may change over time.
Where a candidate's individual, formal result would not include performances that do not meet the minimum test requirement for a skill, these are considered in the Results Dashboard to give institutions the best picture of where their students are.
Please note, the screenshots in this article were created with test data and are for illustration purposes only.
Accessing the dashboard
1. Log into the Cambridge English Test Portal, Metrica.
2. From the menu, select Reports and click on Results Dashboard.
A blank dashboard opens:
3. Click on the filtering options button to open the selection fields.
Use the sliders to adjust reporting by Test Date and/or Age range. You can also use the calendar selection tool for dates or type directly into the boxes. Select from the Exam drop down to filter by product. If you have Clients or Schools set up you can select from the School/Client drop down if you only want to see specific results.
Further options allow you to filter by Class/Team or by a user-defined parameter of your choice (for example, tuition type) if you added these parameters to your entries when uploading them to the sessions.
Cohort Results
The Cohort Report shows you the average CEFR and skill CEFR distributions. It uses the candidates’ best scores in the tests that meet your filtering criteria to calculate the CEFR levels.
You can choose to add a comparison, allowing you to filter and compare the CEFR levels of two different sets of data side by side.
To compare two sets of results, for example, results from one month against another, you can add a comparison to the Cohort Report.
1. Click the add a comparison button.
2. Click the filtering options button. You will see two selection fields where you can set the parameters for the cohorts you want to compare.
3. Once you close the filtering the reports will display side by side.
Results Table
The Results Table shows each candidate’s best scores in the tests that meet your filtering criteria.
Results from the table can be extracted into a spreadsheet.
1. Click on the More Options menu (...).
2. Click on Export data.
3. Select the data you want to export, then click Export.
Compare Groups
The Report Groups report offers a high-level view of the average CEFR distribution across multiple Schools/Clients, Teams/Classes or your own grouping value added to the ‘Other’ field on entry.
As with the other parts of the dashboard, it uses the candidates’ best scores in the tests that meet your filtering criteria to calculate the CEFR levels.
