This article explains what to do if the candidates computer or hardware isn't working correctly during a test. For example:
- Computer shutting down unexpectedly, such as loss of power or system update
- Computer has frozen
- Headset isn't working
- Keyboard or mouse not working
You can either fix the issue if possible, or move the candidate to a spare computer / use spare hardware.
If moving to a spare computer, you can close their test on the original computer, then load the test again on the spare with the same URL: https://ceqdyl.cambridge.org/
The candidate can input their Password again and the test will resume from the last point it saved the response. The latest saved point will be the end of the last question the candidate completed. If they were half way through a question, it will return them to the start of that question so they may need to re-enter some answers.
The candidate can then complete the test as normal.
