Helpdesk Training Article
Bookings and entries for Cambridge English Qualifications Digital for young learners are made in Cambridge English for Centres (CECP). There are some new additional features, as explained in this article.
Please see the Managing Entries article for general guidance on making entries in CECP.
Exam Calendar
There is a new tab under the Exam Calendar tab in Cambridge English for Centres (CECP), called Digital exams.
Only Cambridge English Qualifications Digital products will be displayed under this tab. You can view all the relevant dates per exam type by selecting from the drop down.
The date range needs to be applied to view the key dates, select the From date calendar option.
After selecting the icon, the To date will automatically be populated to the same date, this can be changed by selecting the To calendar icon and selecting the chosen date.
All key dates can be viewed by selecting Generate Schedule. This can be exported and printed using the options available.
Creating a new booking
Bookings can be added under the Bookings tab, all the new Cambridge English Qualifications Digital products will be present under the Exam type drop down.
As Digital qualifications are available 365 days a year you can select any date from the calendar. Please note, you must make your entries up to two full working days before the key assessment date (KAD).
Please note: only one booking per exam type, per day can be added. If you want multiple bookings to split your candidates per venue or room, this can be done using our new grouping functionality or by adding packing codes to your candidates, further details on this can be found in this article below.
Delivery method as ‘Computer Based’ and Sitting as ‘AM’ will automatically be populated.
This will also apply in the bookings screen and within the booking itself. Please note although the system automatically populates to AM, the session can be run at anytime between midnight - midnight local time.
The standard procedure for creating bookings applies, details on this can be found in our Exam bookings and schedules guide.
Adding entries and packing codes
Adding entries will be completed under the Entries tab in Cambridge English for Centres.
The process for adding packing codes is the same as used for paper-based entries, packing codes can be added per entry or when using the bulk upload template in CECP.
We recommend you add your packing codes at the time of making your entries. However, if for any reason you have to add or amend packing codes after entries have been confirmed, this can be done up to two full working days before the Key Assessment Date. After this time, you will be unable to amend your entries to add this information.
The Confirmation of Entry will be produced using CECP as at present, but this will no longer display the AM/PM window.
The standard procedure for making entries applies, details on this can be found in our Managing Entries guide.
Timetabling
Cambridge English Qualifications Digital for young learners has a Listening component and a Reading and Writing component. All of these components are taken at the same time.
The Speaking component is run face to face in the same manner as the paper-based Cambridge English Qualifications for young learners.
Please note: For Inspections purposes, we must be notified of venues, dates, and times 14 days in advance of the written exam date. This can be completed via CECP (but only after an entry has been confirmed) or via the Venue and Timetabling details form.
If you cancel the whole session, please email us as soon as you can at inspections@cambridgeenglish.org.
